Software Asset Management Project Manager

Requirements

• Serve as the single point of contact (POC) to the government customer, providing reports and regular communications on help desk deliverables, performance standards, and IT software spend
• Lead a software asset management (SAM) team for help desk tasks such as software purchasing requests, software licensing inventory management, software and hardware contract management, security updates, and user assistance
• Develop and refine SAM process benchmarks for continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with relevant software and hardware security requirements across the customer’s IT infrastructure
• Ensure all contract performance standards are met or exceeded
• Develop the Project Management Plan and Schedule and maintain them throughout the contract
• Maintain and routinely update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the Software Licensing Helpdesk (SWL)
• Manage team on ServiceNow ticketing system

Qualifications

• 8 years+ of SAM experience
• Direct experience in maintaining a successful IT Asset Management (ITAM) Program for a US government customer
• Direct Experience Leading Help Desk Teams to support hundreds of IT tickets/week for both software and devices
• Successful experience and history of delivering cost savings to a US government agency using SAM best practices for optimizing software acquisitions and inventory management and discovery
• Experience with both on-premise and cloud software inventory management
• Experience using ServiceNow for asset requests and help desk ticketing
• Project Manager Professional (PMP) certifications
• International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers (IAITAM) Certification is preferred
• ITIL certified
